Mateo Messi, 8 years old, also joined Miami’s Academy, albeit he is not officially featured on that list.

Mateo scored three goals for Inter Miami Academy during the team’s run in the Freedom Cup in early December, according to MARCA.

At any age, scoring three goals is outstanding. Mateo’s ability to achieve so in only a few months after joining the club is impressive.

It’s too early to know if he’ll become a professional player because he was born in 2015, but if the hat trick is any indicator, the child is well on his way to becoming a top attacker. Mateo’s father’s legacy is fantastic, but his skills show he’s a player to be excited about in the future as well.
