As speculation about a potential transfer for Kylian Mbappe resurfaces, Jurgen Klopp has previously dismissed the possibility.
The French striker has been linked with a move to Anfield for years, and his future is being questioned once more. Mbappe’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he is now free to discuss a Bosman transfer with international clubs.
The striker has also revealed that he has yet to decide on his future. While Liverpool is still interested in Mbappe, Klopp has already ruled out a deal.
“We laugh about it,” Klopp told Sky Germany in August, after another link was discovered. “I think he’s a really good player, but the financial circumstances don’t work for us.” I don’t want to ruin the story right now, but there’s nothing to it as far as I know.
“It’s possible that someone else in the club has something planned and wants to surprise me… That hasn’t happened in my eight years here.” That would be the first occasion.”
While Liverpool do not look to be interested in acquiring Mbappe anytime soon, they have sought to do so in the past. In the year 2022, Mbappe said, “I talked to Liverpool because it’s my mother’s favorite club, my mother loves Liverpool.”
“I don’t know why; you’ll have to ask her!” It’s a good club, and we’ve known them for five years. I first met them in Monaco. It’s a huge club.”
Mbappe is currently having another fantastic season with PSG. He has 22 goals in 23 games for the French club, including one in their Trophee des Champions victory over Toulouse.
Real Madrid may be free to enter the competition now that Klopp appears to have ruled Liverpool out. Mbappe was on the verge of joining the Spanish giants in the summer of 2022, only for the striker to accept a new contract in Paris.
The decision upset Florentino Pérez, who lambasted the forward. Real’s interest, on the other hand, remains. Carlo Ancelotti, on the other hand, has been tight-lipped about a possible deal.
When asked about Mbappe, the Italian said, “I don’t recognize you, you must be one of the new ones who doesn’t know that I won’t speak about that [Mbappe].” “I’m not going to get into that.”
