Escape from Man Utd nightmare, Jadon Sancho return to Borussia Dortmund in £2.6m loan deal

Jadon Sancho is apparently ready to leave his nightmare at Manchester United after agreeing to return on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

The England international, who spent £75 million ($95 million) moving to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, is unable to play in the 2023–24 season. Erik ten Hag accused Sancho of letting standards slide during training, which is why he hasn’t played for United since August 26 and is now required to work at the Red Devils’ academy.

Bild claims that a way out has been identified for the January transfer window. Sancho, 23, is rumored to be returning to Germany on a short-term contract that will only cost Dortmund £2.6 million, allowing him to continue his professional career in a setting he is acquainted with.

Sancho may be able to leave Manchester United on Friday, when Dortmund is holding their winter training camp in Marbella. This is before BVB plays AZ Alkmaar in a friendly on Saturday. It is said that a few little tax issues need to be resolved.

Before scoring just 12 goals and setting up six more in 82 games for United, Sancho had previously made 137 appearances for Dortmund and registered 50 goals and 64 assists. At the beginning of the current campaign, he made three substitutions from the bench, but he has been in exile ever since.
