The Al-Nassr star went back home to inaugurate the facilities in advance of Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations camp in Ivory Coast.

After spending a season in Europe, the former Liverpool player was seen playing on a muddy field in Bambali a year ago.

As seen on social media, Mane kept his word and delivered the stadium to the residents of Bambali in a beautiful event, accompanied by dignitaries.

According to former Black Stars forward Odartey Lamptey, “Ghana Will Cause a Surprise at AFCON 2023”

He remarked, as cited by Wiw Sport, “I am really very happy to be with you today and to welcome you to my home, to my native village of Bambali, where it all began.”

Standing before you on this FIFA-standard football pitch, which holds great significance for me, is a source of great pleasure and delight. This is more than just a token of my affection for my village. It represents our strength, unity, and love of football beyond all else.”

The goal of the 31-year-old’s Teranga Lions’ trip to the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast is to defend the trophy that the team won in Cameroon in 2022.

Senegal, the reigning African champions, have announced their final lineup for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Sports Brief as well.

Aliou Cisse’s team, which includes veterans Sadio Mane and Kalidou Koulibaly, will go to Cote d’Ivoire via plane next month.

A large portion of the team that won the title in 2022 has returned to the Lions of Teranga, who will be trying to defend it.
