Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi has been nominated to the IFFHS (International Federation of Football History and Statistics) 2023 Men’s Team of the Year.
The IFFHS just unveiled its 2023 Men’s Team of the Year, which includes attackers Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and Erling Haaland.
Messi, Jude Bellingham, Rodri, and Kevin De Bruyne have been named to the midfield, while Alphonso Davies, Kim Min Jae, and Ruben Dias have been named to the defense, with Manchester City’s Ederson in goal.
Nonetheless, Argentine player Lionel Messi’s name has piqued the interest of fans. Messi, according to X football enthusiasts, was not the most deserving candidate on the list. Messi will captain Argentina to World Cup triumph in the Qatar FIFA World Cup in December 2022.
