GALLERY: Manchester United players returns to training for the FA Cup

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez of Manchester United have resumed full training at Carrington as they accelerate their season-long recuperations from their separate ailments.

center-back Since the Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich on September 20, Licha has not played. He informed us last week that his recuperation is progressing “perfectly.” 

Key midfield player Casemiro has not been available since getting hurt on November 1st during our Carabao Cup match against Newcastle United. 

The two South Americans have been working out individually with medical personnel for the past few months, and it looks like all of their perseverance and hard work may soon pay off.

Training Highlights: The Return of Casimiro and Licha

On Wednesday, Casemiro and Martinez practiced on the grass with the entire team, indicating that they are getting closer to returning to action.

Erik ten Hag informed reporters last Friday at a press conference that the internationals from Brazil and Argentina are probably going to make a comeback in January. The precise date of that is yet unknown.

The boss gave encouraging news during the same media session, stating that Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Harry Maguire are all working toward the same deadline. 

United’s current schedule for the month of January consists of two games: a Premier League encounter at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, January 14, and an Emirates FA Cup third-round tie against Wigan Athletic on Monday, January 8. 

After a brief Christmas break, our next FA Cup encounter will take place at the end of the month, provided the Reds defeat Wigan.
