Karim Benzema to address Manchester United’s offensive woes?

As Manchester United continue to suffer in the offensive component of the game, former player Louis Saha believes the Red Devils can drastically enhance their striking ability if they recruit Karim Benzema from Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad.

Saha believes that Man United might benefit from Benzema’s striking ability since he would add much-needed expertise, which would also help Hojlund, who would learn from the French star’s techniques.

“He [Benzema] will shake up the United frontline, and that’s what they need,” Saha told BettingOdds.com. He will undoubtedly score goals and improve his link-up play […] he is the type of striker from whom Hojlund will learn, but it is only a fantasy.

“It’s the right club for him [Hojlund], but giving him sole responsibility for the number nine position without an experienced player around him is unfair.” Talented wingers and offensive midfielders can exist, but being a striker requires a different mindset.

“You need someone to show you box runs […] the Premier League is a tough league for stuff like that.” I was a teammate of [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy and [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer. “I had the opportunity to learn my runs and skills from those legends,” he added.
