People who like the Nigerian rock band P-Square (Peter and Paul Okoye) were excited when it seemed like they had bought a private plane. However, it has come to light that the reports were false.
A spokesperson for P-Square named Bayo Adetu talked about what happened in an exclusive interview on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review.” He said that the company had a deal with a private aircraft business but didn’t actually own a private plane. This set up meant that they could use a private jet whenever they needed to.
Adetu said of the private jet, “I think it’s been added to P-Square’s group because we have a deal with a private jet company.” This means that P-Square can use the private plane for any public show, at any time of the day. It was still true that P-Square were the only African musicians with such a special deal, which let them use a private plane whenever they wanted.
Adetu confirmed that the reported deal with Universal Records was real. “That’s true, that is,” he said. The deal was officially signed on Thursday, May 31, 2012. He said that the deal didn’t just apply to South Africa but to the whole world. The deal was signed in South Africa, and the papers were sent to Universal Records’ offices around the world. On a world level, this deal was important.
Adetu gave hints that this deal would lead to good things. I think they will have a lot of good things happen in the future, and this deal is just one of them. The deal works well for everyone, and we are happy with every part of it. That’s all I have to say for now.
