Liverpool is the Premier League’s fastest club this season, while two of its title contenders are among the slowest. So, how do all 20 top-flight teams rank on this list?

Manchester United is next with 1.89 metres per second, followed by Bournemouth with 1.87 metres per second.

Fulham (1.69), Newcastle United (1.68), Chelsea (1.67), and Wolverhampton Wanderers follow in terms of meters per second. 

Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion have escaped the bottom three by averaging 1.59 per second in the 2023-2024 season thus far.

Some people may be surprised to find that Arsenal and Manchester City are both in the bottom three, despite vying for the title this season. 

Arsenal finished third with 1.54 metres per second, while Manchester City was last with 1.26. Burnley is between them, travelling at 1.45 metres per second.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s team has failed to keep up the tempo this season, losing to Aston Villa and drawing with Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Palace.

Liverpool, on the other hand, overcame Arsenal in the cup after drawing 1-1 at Anfield just a few weeks prior in the Premier League, keeping them in contention in four different competitions.
