20-year-old English star Jude Bellingham has been hailed as the “prince” at the Bernabeu Stadium by the Spanish press after his impressive brace helped Real Madrid secure a 4-0 victory over Girona in La Liga on February 11th.
Bellingham found the back of the net in the 35th and 54th minutes, adding to Vinicius’ opening goal in the 6th minute and Rodrygo’s strike in the 61st minute. The win propelled Real Madrid to a 5-point lead over Girona in the championship race and extended their advantage over rivals Barcelona to 11 points.
With his double, Bellingham reclaimed the top spot in the La Liga golden boot race (Pichichi award), taking his goal tally to 16. He surpassed Girona’s Artem Dovbyk and Getafe’s Borja Mayoral, who both have 14 goals. Despite playing as an attacking midfielder, Bellingham has now scored an impressive 20 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, along with 8 assists in 29 appearances.
“These numbers are unbelievable for a midfielder. It’s difficult to evaluate whether Jude Bellingham is a pure midfielder or the 21st-century version of Alfredo Di Stefano (Real Madrid’s legendary player who also played as an attacking midfielder or forward),” expressed AS (Spain).

According to coach Ancelotti, “Jude Bellingham is not a typical number 9 player. That’s true. But he knows how to score goals from anywhere, with both feet, with his head, from penalties, while moving or within the penalty area. Jude Bellingham deserves to be an idol at the Bernabeu.”
After his brace against Girоna, Bellingham had tо leave the pitch due tо an ιnjury. He received applause and appreciatiоn frоm the Bernabeu crоwd. Ancelоtti mentiоned, “He just suffered a twisted ankle. We’ll have tо check оn that. Hоwever, if Jude Bellingham is unavailable, Brahim Diaz and Jоselu are ready tо step in. That’s the strength оf Real Madrid this seasоn, as we have enоugh depth tо replace players when needed.”
