Following his arrival at the airport, the French superstar signed autographs and posed for photos with Barcelona fans. He was here with his close buddy Achraf Hakimi to unwind on his day off, not for contract discussions.

In the midst of all the speculation over Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid after the French star notified PSG that he would leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season, the Bondy native made headlines on Wednesday morning. 

Several Spanish media sites captured footage of the France international at Barcelona airport on his trip to Paris to rejoin Luis Enrique’s team, which faces Stade Rennais on Sunday in the 23rd round of Ligue 1 fixtures. 

In the footage, Mbappe can be seen collecting signatures and even taking selfies with supporters wearing the Barcelona tracksuit, while avoiding addressing certain Spanish journalists’ questions about whether he has already signed with Real Madrid. 

According to the Spanish press, the former Monaco player travelled to Spain two days ago for leisure and had nothing to do with his potential future at Real Madrid.
