Real Madrid’s season has been fantastic thus far, which is especially amazing given the team’s injury problems throughout the season. It all started in August, when Thibaut Courtois damaged his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a training session before the MD1 match against Athletic Club.
Courtois has been recovering since then, despite being given a small chance of returning before the season’s end. However, he appears to be on the verge of making a comeback, as he participated in group training for the first time since that fatal day last August, according to MD.
Real Madrid has missed Courtois, albeit less so in recent weeks as Andriy Lunin has taken over the number one shirt from Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was signed to replace the Belgian keeper last summer. This has allowed Courtois to ease his way back, though he will be anxious to return before the season finishes.
