Giannis paid homage to their pre-NBA days and acknowledged their respective progress by donning a pair of Red/White Kobe 4s with the handwritten message “Thanasis, thanks for sharing” during the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. The soon-to-be eight-time all-star, who now has a Nike deal and his own trademark line, carries this theme to the Giannis Immortality 3 ahead of this year’s ASG game on February 18.

 

Naturally, the shoes have the same Red/White colour scheme as Giannis’s Kobe 4s from five years ago, along with the traditional jersey colour of the Eastern Conference. The left and right shoes are inversely coloured, alternating between red and white on almost every component save the laces—a unique yet common design aspect. Although Giannis penned “Thanks for sharing” on the Kobe 4s’ toe, it appears divided into two halves on the heel tabs of this particular shoe.
