After the Real Madrid-Sevilla match, the Croatian midfielder joyously slapped hands with his former teammate Sergio Ramos.
Real Madrid maintained their lead at the top of the La Liga standings with a 1-0 win over Sevilla. Luka Modric became Los Blancos’ hero after scoring the only goal in the 81st minute. The Croatian midfielder unleashed a stunning shot that tore Sevilla’s net.
Following the contest, television cameras captured several notable moments. Modric approached Sergio Ramos, his former teammate, to shake hands and exchange jerseys. Ramos is currently joining Sevilla. Ramos played the entire 90 minutes in Sevilla’s most recent encounter.
Modric and Ramos previously fought for Real Madrid, winning four Champions League titles. Ramos departed Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 to join Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish star returned to his ‘old home’ Sevilla after two years with the Ligue 1 champions.
After the match, Modric stated of Ramos, “Sergio Ramos is my brother.” He’s a true legend. People prefer to assess us based on our age. Ramos, on the other hand, is at an exceptionally high level. Today, I am delighted to see him again.”
