Alongside Mbappe, PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi was also invited to attend the event. However, Macron did have a brief conversation with Mbappe regarding the matter.

Mbappe, known for his good relationship with Macron, greeted the French president upon his arrival at the gala dinner. Macron expressed his concern over the transfer rumors surrounding the star player, stating, “You are going to create more problems for us.” It is worth noting that Macron has previously intervened in club matters, playing a role in convincing Mbappe to sign his last contract with PSG when he was considering a move to Real Madrid.
