Mbappe is prepared to win two World Cups in a row, just like Pele did.
The French sensation will want to follow in the footsteps of Brazil’s great Pele by winning back-to-back World Cups against Argentina on Sunday.
However, as a child living up in the Bondy neighbourhood of Paris, he initially began to dream of participating in the biggest football spectacle.
On the wall of his bedroom back then, Mbappe had posters of Neymar, who is currently a teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Zinedine Zidane.
And it was “life or death” if he won his school competition.
The 23-year-old Mbappe reminisced, saying, “My pals and I never intended to be football players.
“We fantasised, not planned or anticipated.
“I recall that all of the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth pupils participated in this tournament at our school, which was called our World Cup.
“We treated it like it was life or death, even though we were competing for this £1.75 plastic trophy. There is always a risk to your honour.
It’s amusing since each squad has to have a mixed roster according to the rules. both boys and girls.
We had to really bargain since, regrettably, not all of the females wanted to participate in the competition.
“I used to promise my friend that I would get her a new colouring book if she gave it her all on the field and we won the cup. I was pleading with her.
“Perhaps you find me too dramatic, but to us, it truly meant everything.
We competed as though it were the Jules Rimet Trophy for this £1.75 cup. It was just that way.
It must have been challenging for my teachers. I sincerely apologise to them.
“I recall receiving nine warnings from the principal one day when I got home from school.
“Kylian talked about football during maths, forgot his school supplies and did not complete his homework.”
“I had my head in the clouds.”
His passion for football has turned him into a multimillionaire and propelled him to Sunday’s glamorous Qatar final against Argentina, his PSG teammate Lionel Messi.
And it all began when he was only three years old.
All I wanted was the ball. The ball meant everything to me.

Mbappe stated, “With me, everything is football,” to the Players’ Tribune.
“I got one of those tiny 4×4 electric toy trucks for my birthday when I was three years old.
It is absolutely possible to drive it around while seated inside. It was fully equipped with pedals.
“Like a true football player driving to training, my parents would let me drive from our house to the football pitch across the street. I was really serious about my little ritual.
But I always left the car in a corner and went to play football as soon as I got there.
I used to be envious of my pals for this awesome 4×4 but eventually lost interest in it.
“All I wanted was the ball.” The ball meant everything to me.
In June 2018, PSG paid a staggering £162 million to sign Mbappe from Monaco, setting a record for a juvenile signing cost.
Mbappe’s also been voted his country’s Player of the Season three times — and he’s still only 23 for a few days at least.
He scored the final goal in France’s 4-2 World Cup final win over Croatia in Russia four years ago.
When I heard La Marseillaise, I could have cried
In addition to winning five French League crowns, two League Cups, three French Cups, a World Cup, and the Nations League with France, he has already scored 250 goals in his career.
In addition, Mbappe has won three times as his nation’s Player of the Season, despite the fact that he is still just 23 days old.
Four years ago, he scored the game-winning goal in France’s 4-2 victory against Croatia in the World Cup final in Russia.
La Marseillaise was playing, and I felt like crying.

And now, he’s attempting to prevent 35-year-old GOAT Messi from receiving the one significant award that has escaped him during his illustrious career.
“Sometimes, even when you are really living something, it feels like a dream,” Mbappe continued.
“During the World Cup in Russia, the similar sentiment prevailed.
“As an individual, you do not experience the World Cup. You go through it when you’re a kid.
“Of all the memories, the one I will always cherish is the one in which we were waiting to leave the tunnel prior to the first game versus Australia.
“I realised what I was living at this point. Ousmane Dembele and I were just grinning and shaking our heads as I turned to look at each other.
“I said, ‘Observe us.'” The young Évreux native. As well as the Bondy boy. We’re participating in the World Cup.
As we entered the field, we could feel 65 million people supporting us.
I could’ve cried when I heard La Marseillaise.
“A large number of us who were holding the World Cup that summer were raised in suburban areas. The neighbourhoods.
“We are the insane aspirants. Fortunately, dreaming is unrestricted.
With the entire world watching on Sunday in Qatar’s Lusail Stadium, Mbappe will dream of hoisting the 36-cm, £20 million genuine thing instead of a cheap replica.
