Myles Garrett is one of the few individuals who can compete with LeBron James in the weight room. However, King James is one of the few who would be brave enough to refer to the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year as “Lil Bro.”

Everything went viral on social media when the two Cleveland sports stars linked up for an NFL-style exercise. Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, was among those who noticed.

“IRON SHARPENS IRON!!” James wrote in an Instagram post with photos and videos of his training session with Garrett. “Big Bro & Big Lil Bro getting after it! Giving him the full Blueprint and more!”

Clearly, the former Cavalier was impressed with the Cleveland Browns’ star’s abilities in the gym.

“P.S. I know y’all know this already but he’s an ABSOLUTE BEAST!!” James said of Garrett.

Another Ohioan, Travis Kelce, expressed gratitude for the Cleveland collaboration by commenting on James’ Instagram picture with a string of fire and flexing arm emojis.

 

Is LeBron James able to play in the NFL?
Fans of the Lakers star should not be surprised by his demonstration that he can hang in the weight room with the best defensive player in football. He was Ohio’s top-ranked football talent in high school, seen as a “taller, slower version of Randy Moss” and a “readymade” NFL wide receiver.

LeBron’s St. Vincent-St. Mary High School football coach, Jay Brophy, revealed to Bleacher Report that he received offers to play collegiate football from “all the major schools,” including Notre Dame, Miami, Alabama, and Ohio State.

Moreover, James had genuine offers to play in the NFL when the NBA lockout occurred in 2011 and the season did not begin as scheduled. Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys both made contract offers to him. If LeBron put his mind to it, he could make an NFL squad, no question about it.

 

“In 2021, I would have made the team,” James stated to The Athletic. To start with, I don’t mind working for a living. Therefore, had I been forced to try out for the Cowboys or Seahawks, or had I stayed home and returned to Cleveland, I would have done so and would have made the team. I simply know my abilities on the football pitch.”

As his 21st NBA season nears its conclusion, LeBron will concentrate on the Lakers’ game against the Clippers across town. His training video offered another glimpse at his NFL potential.
