KYLIAN MBAPPE’s hammer blow placed PSG ahead in their Champions League clash.

The Frenchman opened the scoring against Real Sociedad with a stunning shot past Alex Remiro in goal.

Kylian Mbappe opened the goal for PSG in the Last 16 clash against Real Sociedad.

The Frenchman let loose with a thunderous attempt that smashed into the back of the net.

The goal packed so much venom that it pushed the net away from the post.

Mbappe collected the ball from Ousmane Dembele in the 15th minute and used his electrifying pace to keep it in play before shifting into the box and landing on his preferred right foot.

The 25-year-old maneuvered the ball to the side of Arsenal transfer target Martin Zubimendi before unleashing a lethal drive that found the back of the net.

The shot was so powerful that it pulled the netting away from the upright, causing a three-minute delay in San Sebastian.

Staff at the Reale Arena had to repair the goal before play could resume.

Mbappe later increased his team’s lead in the 56th minute, giving Paris a 2-1 victory and a 4-1 aggregate win.

PSG easily defeated Sociedad and will now advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.

Mbappe’s brace improved his Champions League record to 46 goals and 26 assists in just 68 matches.

It’s no surprise that the world’s greatest teams are interested in the World Cup winner, who will leave PSG at the conclusion of the season.

Real Madrid appear to be the most probable club to sign the superstar, but Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with a surprise move for Mbappé.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated last month that his team has to be “in the conversation” for players of Mbappe’s level.

He stated: “If we want to be the top team, we will undoubtedly need the best talent and players.

“I’m not [part of such chats]. Maybe Edu and the owners are, but I do not participate in those discussions till the end.

When asked directly if he would be interested in Mbappe, despite the fact that he appears to be moving to the Spanish capital, Arteta replied: “When there is a player of that calibre, we always have to be in the conversation.”
