The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals draw occurred on March 15th at 6 PM in Nyon, Switzerland. Instead of conducting an additional draw, UEFA will assign the semi-final pairings. Starting from the quarter-finals, the rule of avoiding teams from the same league or group will no longer apply.

The quarter-finalists consist of Manchester City, Arsenal (England), Bayern Munich, Dortmund (Germany), Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid (Spain), and PSG (France). These teams represent the top five European leagues, with Serie A being the only league without a representative.

Manchester City is the reigning Champions League champions, securing their first title in the previous season. Inter Milan, the runners-up in the previous season, were eliminated in the round of 16 by Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid holds the record for the most Champions League titles, having won it 14 times.

This will be the final season following the current format of the Champions League. Starting from the next season, the number of teams will increase to 36, and UEFA will introduce a new seeding system. Teams will have to compete in eight matches to determine the eight teams advancing to the knockout stage, while the remaining teams will participate in playoff matches to secure their positions.

UEFA has implemented changes to the draw process for the upcoming season, incorporating computer assistance. These innovations are expected to save time, and Ernst & Young, a leading audit firm, will oversee the procedures to ensure transparency.
