Vitinha opened the scoring for PSG, followed by a goal from Mbappe to double their lead. Montpellier fought back with a header from Arnaud Nordin and a penalty converted by Teji Savanier, bringing the score level at halftime. 

However, Mbappe’s marvelous goal shortly after the break restored PSG’s lead, and Lee Kang-in extended their advantage to 4-2. Mbappe completed his hat-trιck with a right-foot finish, while Nuno Mendes sealed the victory with a late goal. With the win, PSG opened up a 12-point lead at the top of Ligue 1, making their 10th title in 12 seasons almost certain. Mbappe’s hat-trιck took his Ligue 1 goal tally to 24 for the season and 38 in all competitions. 

PSG’s dominance continued with an unbeaten domestic record since September. Despite Mbappe’s intention to leave the club at the end of the season, he played the full 90 minutes and delivered an outstanding performance.
