Kylian Mbappe secured his fourth hat-trιck of the season on Sunday evening, leading Paris Saint-Germain to a 6-2 triumph over Montpellier in Ligue 1.
Contributions from Vitinha, Lee Kang-in, and Nuno Mendes added to PSG’s goal tally at the Stade de la Mosson.
Montpellier managed to find the net through Arnaud Nordin and Teji Savanier.
Mbappe opened the scoring in the middle of the first half by expertly placing a low left-footed shot into the net from a narrow angle after executing a one-two with Randal Kolo Muani.
His second goal showcased his brilliance as he unleashed an impressive dipping strike from 22 yards out, which struck the underside of the crossbar before finding the back of the net.
Completing his hat-trιck in the 63rd minute, Mbappe displayed his sharpness with a two-touch finish after swiftly capitalizing on a free-kιck taken by Vitinha.
As of now, the French captain has amassed an impressive total of 38 goals in 37 matches for PSG this season, in addition to six goals in five appearances for his national team.
Mbappe’s first hat-trιck of the 2023/24 campaign occurred in PSG’s 3-0 victory over Reims in November. He then went on to score three goals for France in a 14-0 win against Gibraltar a week later. Another remarkable hat-trιck was achieved by Mbappe in January during PSG’s 9-0 triumph over Revel in the Coupe de France.
