Rasmus Hojlund has expressed his desire for Christian Eriksen, his fellow countryman, to receive more playing time at Manchester United. Eriksen, who has voiced his dissatisfaction with his limited role under Erik ten Hag, has started only nine out of 28 Premier League matches for MU this season. 

Despite being a vital player in Ten Hag’s previous season, featuring in 44 appearances across all competitions, Eriksen has often found himself on the bench this year. Hojlund was delighted to witness Eriksen’s cameo in the 4-3 triumph over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals and remains hopeful that his compatriot will be granted more opportunities at MU. 

Hojlund empathizes with Eriksen’s situation, having experienced the discomfort of being a substitute himself. Acknowledging Eriksen’s exceptional skills, Hojlund believes that every player, including Eriksen, desires to be on the pitch and emphasizes Eriksen’s professionalism and positive attitude. While acknowledging the presence of other talented players in the squad, Hojlund suggests that Eriksen’s playing time ultimately rests with the coach’s decision. 

As Eriksen gradually improves his physical condition, Hojlund anticipates an increased role for him in the remaining matches of the season. With Manchester United vying for a Champions League spot and advancing to the FA Cup semi-finals against Coventry City, Eriksen is expected to have opportunities to contribute.
