Relevo reports that Manchester United is contemplating a summer transfer for Real Madrid forward Joselu.

The 34-year-old striker, who arrived at Los Blancos last summer on loan from RCD Espanyol with a permanent purchаse option of €1.5 million, has surpassed expectations with his performances. Despite not being a regular starter, the Spanish international has impressed with his contributions on the pitch.

Real Madrid, recognizing his efforts, has already decided to exercise the option to sign Joselu permanently for €1.5 million in the upcoming summer transfer window. This has sparked interest from Manchester United, who see Joselu as a potentially valuable addition to their forward line, particularly alongside Rasmus Hojlund, given his extensive Premier League experience with Newcastle and Stoke City.

According to sources, Manchester United has sent representatives to Spain in recent weeks to assess the situation and evaluate the seasoned striker.

Joselu appears to be a good fit for Manchester United, as they are in search of an experienced striker to serve as a backup. However, convincing him to leave Real Madrid and move to Manchester may prove challenging, as the player himself has expressed his desire to stay at the Spanish capital club for the upcoming season. Joselu has been enjoying a positive relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti and is currently living his dream.

Given that Joselu’s contract with Espanyol, his parent club, expires in the summer of 2025, Manchester United may face difficulties in signing him. In a recent interview, Joselu stated his hope to remain with Real Madrid on a permanent basis, explaining that his loan move was triggered when Espanyol was relegated.

“I hope to stay with Real Madrid on a permanent deal. I had a clause that if Espanyol went down, I could go out on loan,” he stated. “Well, Madrid had the opportunity, they thought it was convenient to be able to trigger it. And here I am.”

Throughout the current season, Joselu has made notable contributions, with 13 goals and 3 assists in 38 games, averaging a goal contribution every 100 minutes.
