Damian Lillard, a beloved point guard in the NBA, has had quite the hectic two weeks.
Although he had hoped to be dealt to the Miami Heat, the Portland Trail Blazers ultimately gave in and sent him to the Milwaukee Bucks. He allegedly files for a divorce from his wife few days after they tied the knot.
A report from Willamette Week says Lillard filed in Clackamas County Circuit Court citing “irreconcilable differences” in the relationship that led to “the irremediable breakdown of their marriage.”
Lillard’s last post to his wife on Instagram was back in May around Mother’s Day.
“Happy mothers Day!” he said in the post. “Takes a special person to wear all the hats that a mother does. I love you and I’m thankful to share what I’m most proud of with you!”
According to Williamette Week’s article, Hanson allegedly vacated the couple’s home in December 2022, not long after a Thanksgiving photo of them was shared online.
The two had been dating for more than ten years, ever since they crossed paths at Weber State.
Their union yields a trio of offspring.
