Kylian Mbappe expressed his anger towards Luis Enrique when he was substituted during the classic French football match between Marseille and PSG. He also posted enigmatic messages on social media.
The French football classic between Marseille and PSG ended with a 2-0 victory for the visiting team, alongside a sense of disappointment for Kylian Mbappe.
As the captain of PSG, Mbappe started the match but was substituted in the 65th minute when his team was leading by one goal and down to ten me𝚗 due to Beraldo’s red card. Goncalo Ramos, who scored the second goal, replaced Mbappe.
This time, Mbappe didn’t make any statements. Instead, he conveyed his reaction through his expressive face.
“Again me?” This was the sentiment portrayed by Mbappe through his facial expressions and gaze, showing some contemplation as he took off the captain’s armband and walked towards the touchline.
When entering the technical area, the French international didn’t encounter Luis Enrique, despite greeting his teammates and some staff members. Mbappe didn’t watch the rest of the match with the remaining substitutes. Instead, he immediately headed to the tunnel towards the dressing room alongside Ousmane Dembele, who was also substituted.
The 25-year-old star had every reason to react in such a manner. He was drenched after the heavy rain during the match at the Velodrome stadium.
In the post-match press conference, Luis Enrique responded when asked about Mbappe: “Every week, it’s the same tone, it’s really tiring. I am the coach, and I make decisions every day. I will continue doing so until the last day at PSG. I always try to find the best solution for the team.”
The Spanish coach emphasized to the reporters, as well as sending a message to Mbappe: “If you don’t understand my decisions, I don’t care.”
As for Mbappe, after the match, he expressed his emotions through a social media post on Instagram, which caused a lot of buzz. It featured a picture from behind, with the captain’s armband on his arm, walking in the rain. Mbappe appeared saddened, further fueling speculation about his potential departure from PSG.
Within two hours, Mbappe’s post received over 1.7 million likes and numerous interactions.
In the past seven Ligue 1 matches, Mbappe has only played the full 90 minutes once. The rest of the time, he either sat on the bench or was substituted before the end of the match.
