Real Madrid is one of Europe’s top teams vying for Lille midfielder Leny Yoro this summer.
According to The Athletic, Leny Yoro will make a choice on his future this month, despite being pursued by a number of major European clubs. Several teams approached Yoro, talked pay, and encouraged him to work on their project. The 18-year-old hasn’t made a final decision, but Real Madrid might be his top option.
Real Madrid wants to be cautious about Yoro’s move, although there have been numerous discussions with his agent, Jorge Mendes. The Spanish Royal Club also received excellent feedback regarding the French player’s wishes. Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, and Endrick are some of Real Madrid’s young stars who have recently progressed well. This offers Los Blancos an advantage over their opponents.
Lille has often attempted to extend the deal with Yoro, which is only valid until June 2025. However, this guy declined the offer since he wanted to seek a new challenge this summer. Lille will find it difficult to demand the required price of 100 million euros because the contract only lasts one year.
Real Madrid intended to strengthen the central defender position in 2025, but injuries to Eder Militao and David Alaba prompted them to reconsider. Nacho’s contract has not been renewed, thus the club wants to move quickly to bring Yoro to the Bernabeu. Yoro, like Arda Guler, does not intend to stay at Lille for another year as part of the agreement, preferring to join Real Madrid in the summer.
