Thibaut Courtois and his wife Mishel Gerzig have welcomed their baby, Ellie. The pair announced it on Instagram.

“Welcome to this world, our little Ellie,” the pair, who got married in June, posted on Instagram. “We love you dearly.”

Courtois and Gerzig announced their pregnancy in January. The baby was expected in the spring. Courtois has two children from his former relationship with Marta Dominguez.

Courtois was due to return to Real Madrid last month following left knee surgery, but he tore the meniscus in his other knee during training.

The fresh injury also eliminated any remaining questions regarding Courtois’ potential participation in the European Championship with the Red Devils. Courtois’ relationship with national coach Domenico Tedesco appears to have been irreversibly strained when Courtois implied on X that Tedesco is a liar.
