Rodrygo recreated Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siuu’ celebration following Real Madrid’s comeback.
The Spanish giants got off to a poor start against Manchester City, with Bernardo Silva wrong-footing Andriy Lunin with a free kick after only two minutes.
Eduardo Camavinga leveled the game with a shot that deflected severely off Ruben Dias, and Rodrygo scored just a minute later.
Vinicius Jr. played him in, and the Brazilian forward broke into the box down the left, only to be stopped by Manuel Akanji, who appeared to have everything under control.
However, Rodrygo was able to score as Stefan Ortega dashed off his line, only to be caught out of position as the 23-year-old made it 2-1.
It was his 16th goal of the season, and ninth in the Champions League.
Rodrygo, clearly delighted with his strike, spun away before performing Ronaldo’s signature celebration.
In addition to being a Real Madrid great, CR7 is a well-known competitor of Manchester City, having spent two spells with arch rivals Manchester United.
During his nine-year stint at the Santiago Bernabeu, Ronaldo scored an astounding 450 goals.
But if Rodrygo continues to score goals like this, he might be one of Los Blancos’ all-time greats in the coming years.
