Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, NBA champions, climbed the hallowed rock of the Acropolis yesterday and stood triumphantly before the Parthenon, clutching their NBA medals. 

The Antetokounmpo brothers were supposed to visit their former district of Sepolia in Athens, where they would have joined old friends and residents to celebrate their victorious return as NBA champions, but they chose to postpone the occasion due to the country’s devastating fires. Giannis, 26, turned to Twitter and expressed his wish that no lives were lost in the incident.
