Some NBA superstars, such as Donovan Mitchell, enjoy driving flashy supercars and large SUVs. Others, like Devin Booker, prefer the classics; we saw some of his sick wheels during the 2021 NBA Finals. Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics’ star player, fits into the latter category.

After taking a brief look at his Instagram page, we discovered current photographs of Tatum and his child smiling beside a black Ford Mustang. Apparently, the star forward received this vintage pony for his 23rd birthday last year. It is likewise custom-built, with the letters JT etched on the back of the cabin.

We don’t know what type of tuning this ‘Stang has received, or what kind of engine is under its hood, but it doesn’t matter because this car looks absolutely spotless.

The 24-year-old phenom is coming off one of the year’s biggest surprises, a 4-0 sweep of the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs (apologies to Drei, our assistant news editor). As the Celtics progress through the playoffs, we hope to see more of Tatum’s Mustang pulling up to games in Boston.
