A Boston Celtics hero named Jayson Tatum has a large tattoo collection.
The tattoos on the 25-year-old NBA All-Star honor his mother, son, and his own journey to the league, among other artworks.

And it all started because of his father.
“I’ve always desired to be like my father, so I’ve always desired to get tattoos,” he revealed in 2019 to NBC Sports.
Allegedly, young Jayson was inspired by Justin Tatum, a former collegiate basketball star from St. Louis University who also had his fair share of tattoos.
Tattoos on the wrists weren’t added to the 2017 rookie season roster of the former third-overall pick until right before the season began.
Speaking about how excruciatingly painful they were, he said, “I felt like I would never do it again.”
“However, after having a son, that became my subsequent tattoo.” I desired an accessory to enhance this leg. I then obtained an image of my mother.
Over the course of time, Tatum has consistently augmented his collection.
He carries “God’s Will” and “Proverbs 3:5-6” on his shoulders as a devout Christian.
On his left calf, you can see layers of jerseys from both his high school and college days. Above them, in tribute to Kobe Bryant, two Black Mamba snakes shaped like the number 24 are positioned.
In 2022, Tatum’s tattoo artist Steve Wiebe inked a massive photo collage honoring his childhood home in St. Louis across the left side of his back.
In addition, the expression “St. Louis – ’til the world blows” and the mushroom cloud tattoo on his right thigh show how much he values St. Louis.
“Like father, like son” is inscribed on Tatum’s right thigh alongside a portrait of him holding his son, Jayson Jr.
On his right knee you can see the year of his birth, “98,” and the nickname “Big Deuce,” which is his son’s name, which he calls “Deuce.”
Tatum has maintained an incredible tattoo collection throughout the years, although he has admitted that “They hurt, however, each time.”
