In the three-part series “Coming Home,” basketball star Anthony Davis returns to his hometown of Chicago. In the first part, titled “Return to Chicago,” Davis reflects on growing up in the challenging neighborhood of Englewood in the city’s south side.Pizza with parents and twin sister Antoinette He shares how his passion for basketball was nurtured by his parents, who installed a basketball hoop in their backyard to provide a safe place for him to play away from the potential dangers of public courts plagued by gangs and violence.

From a young age, Davis had a strong belief that he would eventually leave Englewood and create a better life for himself and his family. Now, as the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and a power forward/center for the New Orleans Pelicans at the time, Davis experiences a sense of homecoming as he lands at O’Hare Airport.

Throughout the series, viewers follow Davis as he takes them on a personal tour of Chicago, showcasing various landmarks and highlights of the city. He also explores the preparations for Red Bull Reign, a 3×3 basketball tournament scheduled to take place later in July 2014. In addition to his city tour, Davis visits his family’s favorite pizza restaurant, where he engages in a light-hearted discussion about the proper pronunciation of “sausage.”
