Few, if any, players in modern football history have had such a close relationship with their boots as Toni Kroos and his adidas 11PRO. And now, adidas is honouring the midfield master with a special limited edition 11PRO TK plated in gold.

Toni Kroos is one of the best players in history, and the midfielder is hoping to cap off the 23/24 season by guiding Real Madrid to their 15th Champions League title. Throughout his career, he has become linked with a single boot: the adidas 11Pro. To the point where the two are now inextricably intertwined, with the German international becoming the most decorated boot in football history, having won four Champions League titles while wearing them.

Kroos has single-handedly extended the life and presence of a boot that first appeared in late 2013 and lasted a few years before being replaced by a newer model. Kroos, for example, never lost touch with the boot and stubbornly maintained it (despite the Three Stripes’ best efforts to bring him into the COPA 19 in 2018). So there could be no better footwear to celebrate the German international than the limited edition golden 11PRO TK, which adidas has shown.

Adidas recognized Kroos’ legacy and attachment to the boot by rereleasing two versions of the 11Pro late last year: an ultra limited version designed to Toni Kroos’ exact specifications, and a wider release version that recreates the original while updating it with modern tooling.

But now it’s time to honor one of the greatest midfielders of all time, thus the 11PRO is restyled in tribute to a career filled with innumerable golden moments.

The 11PRO TK comes in a sleek, all-white colorway with golden accents and is limited to 5000 pairs worldwide. The Three Stripes insignia is also in matching gold placed on sharp black, and monochromatic stitching throughout the lightweight leather upper gives the boots their signature quilted appearance. The clear gel adiPure soleplate delivers dependable traction and pays homage to Toni’s original pair. Kroos’ signature was then placed on the outsole and insole, along with a gold electroplated heel.
