Jaylen Brown of the Celtics took part in the latest viral fad, the #DriveByDunkChallenge, on Saturday. His video is a wonderful contrast to the ridiculous one provided by Kentucky coach John Calipari, 58.
Brown slammed a dunk down on what seems to be a random person playing basketball on a hoop in a residential neighborhood — and the Celtics forward snatched the ball for the slam.
But — and I don’t want to ruin the fun — I believe this was all planned ahead of time, primarily because why would you step in front of an athletic 6-foot-7 man approaching your basketball hoop? It appears suspicious to me.
If it is true, someone should teach the person how to get out of the path.
Friends do not let friends get dunked on.
