The recent debut of pieces from a collaborative collection between Liverpool Football Club and NBA superstar LeBron James has confirmed long-standing rumors.

LeBron James has been associated with Liverpool for years, being a passionate fan and a minority shareholder of the club since 2011. The collection, which includes a special edition shirt and Air Max 1 sneakers, is a result of the marketing power and global influence of Nike, who leveraged the Liverpool contract away from New Balance.

The shirt worn by LeBron James features a black base with red pinstripes, displaying the club’s motto “YNWA” (You’ll Never Walk Alone) and LeBron’s “SFG” (Strive For Greatness).

The LFC crest and Nike Swoosh are also present, while LeBron’s logo appears in the sponsor slot.

The Air Max 1 sneakers feature dual branding, with a color scheme similar to the previously released LFC x LeBron 9 Low trainers.
