Despite his departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James will always remain a devoted fan of the team. On Thursday, James surprised his I Promise School with a $1 million donation to build a new gymnasium, funded by a gift from the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation.

“Everyone at the IPS school is overwhelmed by this incredible day,” James expressed. “We simply want to convey our deepest gratitude to everyone involved with the Dick’s Foundation. We never expected such generous support. Our sole aim was to do something wonderful for our students.”

For James, the gymnasium holds significant meaning, as it was the starting point for his own academic achievements. He hopes his students will feel the same way about the new facility.LeBron James in High School - Mansion @ St Vincent St Mary - kajotpoker.com

James emphasized the importance of sports, acknowledging it as the foundation of his background.
