Amidst Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe states his desire to play for AC Milan

With the summer transfer window quickly approaching and the French star strongly connected to a move to his ideal club Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe is once again in demand. The former forward for Paris Saint-Germain has now disclosed the nаme of another team, AC Milan, that he has had a soft spot for since he was a young youngster. Given that Real Madrid is the current favourite and that Milan has struggled in the Serie A over the previous two seasons, it is extremely improbable that Milan will sign Mbappe.

In recognition of his achievements with PSG last season—he ended his tenure at the French powerhouse by winning both the league cup and Ligue 1—Mbappe was awarded Globe Soccer’s Me𝚗 European Player of the Year on Tuesday.

In the meanwhile, Mbappe made it plain that anything may happen in the future when asked if he would play in Italy, but he would only play for AC Milan—the team he was a huge admirer of growing up.

“Italian football? You never know what happens”, told Sky.

“I was always saying: if I will go to Italy one day, I will go to Milan. As a kid, I was big fan of AC Milan and I always watch Serie A, every Milan game. All my family, massive Milan fan,” he added.

Since he declared at the beginning of the month that he will be departing PSG at the end of the season due to a contract expiration, Mbappe has already played his final game for the team. With 26 goals, Mbappe became PSG’s all-time best scorer at the age of 25, earning him the title of legend. Real Madrid is anticipated to make an announcement on his transfer following their UEFA Champions League final match against Borussia Dortmund, and he has been strongly linked to the Spanish powerhouse.

His last game for the club came in Saturday’s final at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy, with first-half strikes from Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz securing a win for PSG.

“It was both difficult and enjoyable because it’s a final, and in the end, we won. It’s filled with joy,” Mbappe told reporters after the match/

“It’s all good memories, many years, both at PSG and of course in this league. We leave with our heads held high, especially with a trophy, and we only keep the positives,” he added.

Mbappe did not help PSG win their first UEFA Champions League title in his final season, as they were eliminated by Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals despite his 44 goals and 10 assists.
