LeBron James recently secured yet another NBA Championship, contributing to the Los Angeles Lakers’ much-awaited victory.
Already back on the court, the four-time NBA Finals MVP was seen training with his ideal workout partner.
Exiting the gym on Friday with his eldest son Bronny, they engaged in a private basketball practice session in Los Angeles, burning off their Thanksgiving dinner. The 35-year-old donned a hoodie featuring a print of Muhammad Ali, paired with white ESNTLS basketball shorts and neon orange slip-on sandals adorned with his King James logo.
Carrying a pair of his yet-to-be-released Nike LeBron 18s (set to retail for $200 later this year), LeBron also wore a Henry Mask face covering as he left the gym alongside Bronny, 16, and his sports agent Rich Paul, 38.
Bronny, or LeBron James Jr, celebrated his 16th birthday last month and is making waves as a rising talent on his high school’s basketball team at Sierra Canyon. He’s garnered attention through appearances on ESPN and has already accumulated several titles.
According to a recent projection of the class of 2023’s top recruits on 247Sports, Bronny is ranked at 19, with predictions suggesting he’ll commit to Duke University.
LeBron hinted at his son’s collegiate future in a 2018 Instagram comment, expressing hope that Duke’s head coach Mike Krzyzewski would still be in charge when Bronny is ready. In a 2015 interview with CBS Detroit, LeBron mentioned that his then 10-year-old son had already received offers from colleges, remarking on the unusual nature of recruiting such young children.
Taking to Instagram earlier this week, LeBron shared photos from another father-son training session, emphasizing their formidable partnership with the caption: ‘Barely flex, but don’t play with us, PERIOD!! #JamesGang’
Observers have noted Bronny’s impressive development, with recent photos showcasing his striking resemblance to his athletically gifted father. On the show Undisputed, co-hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discussed Bronny’s growth spurt and the potential impact on his basketball career.
LeBron, who shares sons LeBron Raymone Jr, Bryce Maximus, 13, and daughter Zhuri Nova, six, with his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson, continues to nurture his family’s athletic legacy.
