According to Deadline.com, Hart is not just going to act in the movie; he will also collaborate on the script. The story, penned by Hart along with Joe Wells, Chris Spencer, and Harry Ratchford, revolves around two competitive brothers facing unexpected circumstances. Once the writing phase concludes, the comedy will secure a director and start filming in the summer of 2014, coinciding with James’ offseason.

James signed on to star in the film back in 2009, but for reasons unknown, the project was put on hold.

This movie, titled “Ballers,” marks James’ debut on the silver screen, while it’s one of several films Hart is managing in 2014, alongside releases like “Ride Along,” “About Last Night,” and “Think Like a Man Too.”
