DATING rumours have spread on social media when Kysre Gondrezick was pictured with Jaylen Brown at the Boston Celtics’ NBA Championship parade.

On Friday, NBA Finals MVP Brown, 27, led his teammates on a duck boat parade through Boston’s streets to commemorate the franchise’s record 18th championship win.

Brown wore a plain black t-shirt with the words “State Your Source” on the front as he held the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP trophy.
This appeared to be in reference to a tweet he sent out during the playoffs in response to First Take presenter Stephen A. Smith, who had received unflattering comments about Brown from an unknown source.

Gondrezick, a Chicago Sky star, was spotted near Brown.

The 26-year-old, dressed in a white dress and sunglasses, quickly sparked rumours that they were dating.

Gondrezick hails from a sports family; her father, Grant, played professional basketball for 12 years.

His career led him to the NBA, Italy, Belgium, Argentina, and Spain.

Glen, Gondrezick’s uncle, was also an NBA standout, having spent six seasons with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks before spending a year in Italy.

Her mother, Lisa Harvey, was also a basketball great, winning the National Championship with Louisiana Tech in 1988.

Gondrezick’s sister, Kalabrya, was a member of Michigan State’s basketball team for one season.

She was married to former NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who sadly died in 2022 after being hit by a dump truck while attempting to cross a Florida highway on foot.

She transferred to West Michigan the following season and was forced to sit out her sophomore year due to NCAA transfer restrictions.

Over the next three seasons, Gondrezick appeared in 56 games, averaging 17.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

After being voted First-Team All-Big 12 in 2021, she entered the WNBA Draft.

The Indiana Fever selected Gondrezick fourth overall, two slots ahead of eventual Rookie of the Year and current Sky colleague Michaela Onyenwere.

The 2024 WNBA season has 12 teams, with the regular season running from May 14 to September 9.

Each team plays 40 regular-season games – four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.

The top eight clubs in the league standings qualify for the playoffs, regardless of conference.

The first round of the playoffs will be best-of-three, with the semifinals and WNBA Finals being best of five.
This season also includes a month-long break for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Las Vegas Aces are defending their WNBA championships.

During her rookie season, Gondrezick would make 19 appearances off the bench, averaging just 9.1 minutes per game.

Let go by the Fever after the season, she went on to spend training camp in Chicago before being waived.

Two years away from the sport followed before she returned to the Sky, making the roster on her second attempt.

“I think now is the best time [to return] honestly,” Gondrezick told GirlsTalkSports in February.

“I think that the skill sets for me the first time around wasn’t the problem, it was the whole mental aspect.

“And so now just being mentally equipped to be able to perform at that level, it’s like why not?”

Through June 23, Gondrezick has made four appearances for Chicago, averaging 3.8 minutes per game.

Gondrezick previously dated NBA player Kevin Porter Jr.

In January, he agreed a plea deal on charges of misdemeanor assault and harassment involving Gondrezick, as per the Associated Press.
