Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger of Real Madrid once again had outstanding performances as Germany defeated Denmark 2-0 to advance to the Euro 2024 quarterfinals.
Germany dominated possession, as usual, with Kroos at the center of it all, recording a game-high 106 touches to control the whole game for his team. Rudiger was the man of the match on defense, defending with all of his might.
Kroos finished the game with 91 passes (95% accuracy), four important passes, four of five long balls completed, two clearances, a tackle, and one interception. He was at the heart of everything Germany did, and an assist to Nico Schlotterbeck was ruled out owing to a disputed VAR ruling.
Rudiger had a monster game, as evidenced by his stats: 82 touches, two tackles, two interceptions, four clearances, four blocked shots, and 63 passes completed at 87% accuracy.
Germany will now face the winner of Spain vs Georgia, potentially setting up an exciting showdown with Spain, who have won all of their games without allowing a single goal.
