JUDE BELLINGHAM posed for photographs with fans as he relaxed before England’s match against Switzerland.

The Three Lions squad was granted the day off on Tuesday ahead of its Euro 2024 quarterfinal on Saturday.

11 Bellingham signed autographs and posed for photographs with supporters.Credit: Paul Edwards.Bellingham, whose miraculous last-gasp overhead kick spared England from an awful last-16 elimination on Sunday, was spotted at an Italian restaurant in Erfurt with his mother Denise, taking use of his free time.

The city is approximately 20 kilometres from England’s training facility in Blankenhain.

Supporters took photographs with the player after he was sighted in the restaurant.

Bellingham also signed autographs before cops assisted him to his car.

Fans could be seen desperately attempting to photograph the Real Madrid hero in footage of Bellingham exiting the restaurant.

The 21-year-old appeared at ease as he took a break from preparing to face Switzerland.

His absence coincides with a Uefa inquiry into a gesture Bellingham made after scoring against Slovakia.

He was accused of disrespecting the opposition bench, but justified his behaviour on social media.

Bellingham wrote on X: “An inside joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game.

“Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight.”

Bellingham’s claim has subsequently been supported by footage of him executing the motion while celebrating for Real Madrid last season.

His stoppage time equaliser against Slovakia saved England before Harry Kane scored the winner in extra time.

The former Borussia Dortmund player was also named Man of the Match.

He also got the award for scoring in the Three Lions’ opening win over Serbia.

Meanwhile, Sun columnist Piers Morgan has defended Bellingham and described what may have motivated the gesture.
