Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks superstar, has unveiled his new Jordan ‘Luka 3’ sneakers, which have a distinctive automotive-inspired design.

Dallas — According to Nick DePaula of Boardroom, Dallas Mavericks player Luka Doncic will debut a new design for his Jordan Luka 3 sneakers during the NBA playoffs.

Doncic is slated to wear his latest signature trainers this Sunday when the Mavericks face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2023 playoffs.

The ceremonial reveal of the Luka 3 took place on Monday. The trainers will go on sale to the general public in July. The Luka 3 is Doncic’s third signature sneaker, following the release of the Luka 2 in June of last year.

These trainers are inspired by Doncic’s 1968 Chevy Camaro custom, which features his Jordan signature symbol beneath the engine.

The eye-catching green, purple and pink colours of these trainers are intended to evoke the exhilarating mood of a racing car dashboard at night.

“It’s fun that this design is inspired by cars,” Doncic said to DePaula. “It’s about the speed and control you need on the court, just like on the road.”

According to DePaula, Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic and Satou Sabally of the Dallas Wings will wear unique editions of the Luka 3.

Doncic told Esquire’s Nick Remsen that he meets with Jordan on a regular basis to fine-tune the final design and is actively involved in the process.

Doncic told Remsen, “I meet with Jordan every few months.” “They provide options on a screen, and I tell them what I consider acceptable and unsuitable. It’s how we get to the finished product.

The Luka 3 features Jordan Brand’s Isoplate technology, which is designed to stabilise the foot inside the sneaker. Logan Fairbrother of Hypebeast remarked that this model’s frame is larger and lighter than its predecessors.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Doncic reinforced his commitment to Jordan Brand last August by signing a five-year contract extension, ensuring his association with the company will extend at least until 2029. Doncic and Jordan Brand formed a collaboration in December 2019.

Doncic is a strong contender to make the All-NBA First Team for the fifth consecutive year, averaging 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds in 70 games.
