Yamal, who is part of the Spanish delegation, was quickly ushered away by a member of her team after the brief incident. This has led to speculation that she may have intended to mock or make a statement about Mbappé and the French team’s defeat.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media of Yamal carrying a Ninja Turtle mask as she was heading towards the press conference room after Spain’s 2-1 victory over France, but she was quickly escorted away by a member of the same delegation.

Mbappé is nicknamed the Ninja Turtle by fans due to his resemblance to the famous cartoon character. The #10 also wore a black mask for a significant part of EURO 2024 after breаking his nose in France’s opening match against Austria.

The members of the Spanish delegation quickly snatched the mask from Yamal’s hands to avoid unnecessary trouble.

However, according to radio station RAC1 and the newspaper El Desmarque, Yamal had received the mask from a fan or journalist near the press conference room, and the player had accidentally taken it. It was therefore not a planned joke as many people had thought when seeing this image.
