Former Los Angeles Laker Patrick Beverley has attracted interest from Hapoel Tel Aviv, an Israeli basketball team, according to reports from Sportando.
Beverley, who recently finished a stint with the Milwaukee Bucks during the latter half of the 2024 season, is currently a free agent. He started the season with the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded to the Bucks in exchange for Cameron Payne at the trade deadline. Throughout his NBA career, which spans 11 years, Beverley has also played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Chicago Bulls.
Known for his defensive prowess, Beverley was named to the All-NBA Defensive first team earlier in his career. During his sole season with the Lakers in 2022-23, he averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Across his NBA career, Beverley has maintained averages of 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
Prior to his NBA tenure, Beverley played overseas after starting his college basketball career at Arkansas but facing ineligibility due to academic issues. Drafted by the Lakers in the 2009 NBA Draft, he had a brief stint with the Miami Heat before continuing his career abroad with teams like B.C. Dnipro, Olympiacos Piraeus, and Spartak St. Petersburg.
Now considering a return to international play, Beverley could potentially join Hapoel Tel Aviv, a prominent team in the Israeli Premier League.
