Anthony Davis was unable to move his shoulder after colliding with Giannis Antetokounmpo during the Lakers’ victory over the Bucks.
Anthony Davis will have his left shoulder evaluated further after colliding with Giannis Antekounmpo in the second half of the Lakers’ 123-122 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, which prompted him to end the game in pain.
“I think he got bumped … He’s being looked at,” said Ham. “So we’ll see. We’ll have an update tomorrow at some point.”
Davis grimaced on the Lakers bench as he was examined by a team physician. He returned at 9:53 and played the rest of the game, clearly favoring his shoulder. Davis’ only points of the session came from two free throws, which he groaned after (as well as whenever he had to lift his left arm).
Ham said postgame that the Lakers would issue an update on Saturday. Davis, wearing a large ice wrap at his locker room said it was “sore.”
“Sore. Couldn’t really move it after that,” he said about the Giannis play. “But, I’ll get some treatment and see how it feels tomorrow.”
LeBron James was already out of the game for the Lakers with a “day-to-day” ankle ailment. Prior to the Bucks game, Ham indicated that LeBron was experiencing “severe soreness” and that the issue would not improve until the offseason.
LeBron has missed nine games this season due to a tendon issue, and he had to leave Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings a few minutes early.
