NBA Alerts, a service that monitors social media activity within the league, has disclosed that Desmond Bane, a player for the Memphis Grizzlies, is following All-Star point guard Damian Lillard on X.

Lillard played for the Portland Trail Blazers for the first 11 seasons of his tenure before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks the previous summer.

In 73 games, he averaged 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, while shooting 35.4% from three-point range and 42.4% from the field, upon the conclusion of his inaugural season in Milwaukee.

The Bucks were the third seed in the Eastern Conference, with a 49-33 record.

However, they were vanquished by the Indiana Pacers in six games during the first round of the NBA playoffs.

In contrast, Bane had another fruitful season, averaging 23.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. He also shot 38.4% from three-point range and 46.4% from the field in 42 games.

The Grizzlies were eliminated from the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2020 due to a multitude of injuries.
