Jaylen Brown has listed his Boston penthouse for sale at $4.75 million.
The house is described as a ‘1-of-1 open concept 3-bedroom home’ with exposed brick walls, factory-style windows, and 12-foot-high wood-beam ceilings. It is situated in the upscale Seaport neighbourhood. The penthouse, located at the corner of Melcher and Necco Streets, features a spacious living area and a fully functioning kitchen with an eat-in island and top appliances.
One of the three “very large” bedrooms is the main suite, which has “spacious walk-in closets, a double vanity, and a walk-in shower.” Along with a private roof deck measuring more than 400 square feet, other features of the condo include an in-unit washing and dryer, a powder room, and a complete bathroom.
“A home for champions,” according to George and Manny Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman, is how they characterize the unit.
As a result, it is particularly fitting for the departing owner Brown, who is presently the MVP of the NBA Finals after leading the Celtics to victory in five games this season.
However, the athlete who attended Cal for his college career is strangely missing from the Team USA Olympic Basketball roster.
Some people anticipated that the team would include the reigning NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard, after he withdrew from the team last week.
However, after Boston Celtics teammate Derrick White was selected ahead of him, Brown told CLNS reporter Bobby Manning that he believes Nike, the shoe company, played a role in keeping him off the team.
“Yes, without a doubt.” That will come with more stuff,’ Brown remarked. “I’m not going to comment on it as of yet.”
Considering his recent achievements, Brown—who is among the greatest players in the world—may be the biggest snub on the team.
However, Brown made headlines on Tuesday after being filmed sitting courtside for an NBA Summer League game and harshly stating that Bronny James ‘isn’t a pro’.
Brown is shown leaning over to WNBA player Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky teammate (and Brown’s girlfriend), Kysre Gondrezick, and sharing his thoughts on LeBron James’ eldest son and Laker teammate.
Neither Reese nor Gondrezick appear to dispute with Brown’s position, with the Celtics star shaking his head in disappointment after expressing his thoughts.
Bronny James was taken No. 55 overall by Los Angeles in this month’s NBA Draft, with a strong influence from his father and their agent, Rich Paul, who reportedly called other teams and told them not to draft the former USC guard or he would play overseas.
Bronny’s performance in the NBA’s Summer League has been lacklustre, with a 0-for-15 3-point shooting record since donning the yellow and purple.
After being caught on tape, Brown chose to retract his statements on social media.
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA; it reflects greatness and longevity,” Brown explained. ‘Bronny has all of the tools he needs to succeed, and I’m excited to watch him grow.’
