As shooting guard Klay Thompson prepares to leave the Denver Nuggets and join the Dallas Mavericks, superstar Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors paid a moving tribute to the man.
The ‘Splash Bros’ are splitting up after 13 seasons together as Thompson signs a three-year, $50 million contract to play for the Mavs in the Bay Area.
Curry posted thirty photos of himself and Thompson from over the years on his Instagram stories on Tuesday, the day the agreement was revealed. The all-time leader in three-point field goals wrote an emotional letter to his long-time running buddy at the conclusion of the photo dump.
Curry wrote, “I’m going to miss you, @klaythompson.” We may not complete the voyage together, but what we accomplished will never be repeated. I can’t think of a better run with @money23green and you.

Despite struggling regain his championship form after an ACL tear in 2019, Thompson will likely play a big role when he arrives in Dallas.
