According to Fichajes, Arsenal has put together a list of possibilities to replace Aaron Ramsdale, the 25-year-old custodian who lost his job to David Raya and wants to go to find a new home where he can play more frequently.
David de Gea is currently one of Arsenal’s top targets. The former Manchester United custodian has been unemployed since the summer of 2023 and has yet to find a new home, despite attracting interest from many teams in both Europe and Asia.
De Gea pledges to provide further quality and top-tier playing experience to Arsenal’s wooden frame in the coming months.
With a free transfer, this may be considered a bargain for Arsenal’s second choice custodian.
David de Gea began his career with Atletico Madrid’s junior squad and rose through the ranks, although he is most recognised for his 12-year stint with Manchester United.
Man Utd spent 25 million Euros to recruit the Spanish player in July 2011 and together with this goalkeeper conquered a series of big and small titles.
David de Gea won eight trophies at Manchester United, appearing in nearly 550 games and maintaining 190 clean sheets. He was named to the PFA Premier League Team of the Year five times.
